Today we were greeted with some very sad news: Greg Page, the lead singer of the Wiggles (the yellow Wiggle) announced that due to health concerns, he will be leaving the group.
Here are a couple of articles:

Video report
We are huge Wiggles fan in my household. My kids love them. We've seen them in concert; my daughter has several of their songs in her large repertoire (about 20 songs). The Wiggles are called "the Beatles of preschoolers," and for good reason. If you ask any adult without preschool-age children about the Wiggles, they have no idea what you're talking about. My daughter attends HeadStart, and the news was huge there today.
I have a story about the Wiggles that's appropriate to share at this point. We saw the Wiggles in concert about two years ago, when they came to Spokane, Washington (2 hours away from us). At one point in the concert, they began the intro to one of their songs, and the audience started to yell out, "Fruit Salad"!
Fruit salad, yummy yummy
Fruit salad, yummy yummy
Yummy yummy yummy yummy fruit salad!
That made me flash back to another concert I attended many years ago--Sarah McLachlin's (whom I love), at the Lilith Fair in the S.F. Bay area (where we lived for almost ten years). She started an intro to one of her songs, and the audience yelled out for it.
Your love is better than ice cream
Better than anything else that I've tried
Your love is better than ice cream
Everyone here knows how to fly
Anyway, I was struck by how different my life had become, that I would get to the point of attending a Wiggles concert with my two small children and husband. As a friend in college used to say, it was a "God moment."
At any rate (another thing that friend used to say a lot), our prayers are with Greg Page for his recovery and health.
