Here's the deal

My newest obsession is putting the ABC/ESPN broadcasts on YouTube. In order to do that, I have to download my recording off of TiVo to my computer, and depending upon the connection, it can take up to eight hours. If the connection is lost at any time, you have to start over. Then you have to put the recording through a program that converts the recording to another format, since YouTube doesn't take the TiVo extension. Then it has to go through yet another program that provides the correct codec in order to edit the recording in Windows Movie Maker.

Editing is the fun part. Then you have to upload the videos on YouTube. Each step can take multiple hours. And can also be frustrating as well. But I'm committed to doing it. At this point, I have nine videos of Skate Canada on YouTube. For some reason, I wasn't able to get the entire broadcast (it might have been too long), so I missed the last forty-five minutes. It's my hope that as I figure out the process, and get better at it, it won't take so long. For some reason, TiVo won't let me download China Cup, but by this afternoon, I've successfully downloaded Cup of Russia, and I've just begun the second step.

So the deal is that I've very behind. I'm behind in my paperwork for work as well. Getting the flu this weekend didn't help. As I tell my clients, I need to figure out how I can be more organized--some kind of system that works for me.
