Speaking of Studio 60

Slate has an interesting review of "Studio 60" that's not quite as glowing as mine.

I agree that the sketch comedy is the weakest part of the show. I disagree, however, about what the article says about the "The Major-General's Song" parody. I thought it was funny; I mean, I did laugh. And doing a search around the blogosphere, I wasn't the only one. There have been a few complaints that SNL had already done a Major-General parody, but so what? It certainly wasn't the first time I had heard a parody like this. The Wikipedia article I link above has a list of several of them.

At any rate, there's reason to worry, since the show's ratings have sharply dropped off since the premiere.
