Media Fri. 10/13

Happy Friday the 13th! Or what' s left of it, anyway. I'm still figuring out how to navigate through Blogger, so posting is taking longer than I'd like. I'm sure it'll get easier. Hubby is still out of town; hopefully, we can go see a movie tomorrow, since the kids will (I think) be covered.

I keep seeing this guy all over the place:

His name is Greg Grunberg. First noticed him in "Alias." Saw him in tonight's viewing of "NYPD Blue," from an episode way back in 2001. (Incidentally, that's when "Alias" premiered.) Most recently, he's been in the new show "Heroes." Although "Heroes" is an ensemble show, he plays one of the main characters. Up to now, I've only seen him in supporting roles. I have a feeling that Grunberg will end up being a very successful character actor, with a long career. Someone to watch, that's for sure.

He also played a very small part in Mission Impossible 3 (he talked to Tom Cruise's character at the beginning of the movie). Of course, MI3 was directed by J.J.Abrams who had already worked with him on Alias.

Yes, Abrams tends to use the same folks over and over again. Donald Bellisario (Magnum P.I., JAG, NCIS) tends to do the same thing. Grunberg was also in the pilot of "Lost," another Abrams project.
